Summertime and the living's easy....

Well, for the kids anyway.

Adam was out for a couple of weeks and now he has gone back to work. He's teaching summer school and he's even there longer than REGULAR school hours. *ugh*

Sophie is in art camp this week. It runs from 1-5 pm and so far she is loving it! Each day they learn about a new artist and make paintings and such in the "style" of that particular artist. I know that one day it's Pollack and I believe today was Matisse.

We are still working on getting Emme potty trained. My hidden family secret. She just REFUSES to do it. We have tried bribing her, praising her, scolding her, bargaining with her, just letting her be, putting her in just panties, letting her run around naked, EVERYTHING!! Nothing seems to work. She just refuses to even try and I'm getting more and more frustrated. She is supposed to start school in August! She HAS to be trained before then. Not sure what we are going to do. *wah*

We have been playing outside a good bit. We set up a "water park" for the kids to enjoy which consists of a slip n' slide, a small pool and a water hose. Ahhh....nothing like a homemade water park. Thankfully, they are young enough to love it.

Olivia is talking more and more every day and is such a scamp. She is one of those kids that you sit and shake your head and say "that kid is something else".
