Is it just me?

Or does the resurrection of the Burger King "King" freak you the hell out?!

It's especially the commercial where the guy goes to the window and pulls back the curtains and there stands this freakish wooden head smiling at the guy! UGH! That's just HORRIBLE!

It's a recurring nightmare that I had when I was a kid. I would always imagine going to the window of my bedroom and pulling back the curtain and seeing the head of the "boogy-man" or some horribly disfigured huge head staring back at me - just a horrible vision before my impending doom.

When my brother and I were teenagers, he would stay out half of the night and my mom really thought she was something cause she would bolt the door shut so he couldn't get in. However, he would just knock on my window until I woke up and call my name. He would KNOW that I would be standing on the other side with my hand halfway out to the curtain, petrified to go any further. When I would finally muster up enough nerve to ask if it were him - I would still stand there too scared to move. I would think that somehow this freak head knew my name and was merely fooling me to draw back the curtain. I imagine my brother got pretty frustrated with me waiting for me to pull back the curtain and to let him in. No matter how many times it happened - and it happened fairly often - it was still as terrifying as the first time.

When Adam and I were dating, he did that to me unknowingly. I was waiting for him to come and pick me up for our date and I kept looking out of the window of the door. I decided that I needed to go to the bathroom one last time before he arrived and I guess while I was in there, he knocked on the door but I didn't hear him. I walked back to the window to look out and when I did - HIS FACE WAS RIGHT IN THE WINDOW!! I screamed a true, guttural scared as shit scream. I think it shook him up just as much as it did me. It took me a while to shake it, too. He apologized over and over cause I think he knew I had the head thing. It could possibly freak me out right now if I thought about it enough.

I'm one of those people that if you start looking over my shoulder - again and again - as if something is there ... it'll freak me the hell out! I had a friend do that one time and it seriously shook me up so bad. I was just about crying and really upset and begged him to stop. We had to leave from where we were cause I couldn't take it anymore.

Wonder why that is? Wonder what is up with my twisted psyche that things like that freak me out? Needles to say, I'm NOT a fan of the Burger King commercials. That "king" can take his big-assed sandwich to someone else. Don't try to sell me any crazy freak head cause I'm all full up.
