Oh, where to begin ....

Let's start with Emme. Remember my post about how she was sick and how we took her in and the NP gave us a crapload of prescriptions that cost a kidney? WELL - as it turns out, that's NOT what the problem was at all!! Well, maybe somewhat with the allergies but the main problem was that she had STREP THROAT!!! I ended up taking her back in on Monday cause she just wasn't improving - if not getting worse - and we saw the doctor this time. We got her weighed in and the nurse says to me "So, what is this rash you are talking about that she has?"
So, I lifted the back of her shirt to show her and she IMMEDIATELY says "Oh my goodness! She has Strep throat!" ...

WHAT???

So, she goes and gets the swab and does the test and sure enough - positive!

I was pissed! I told Dr. Bimle about what all transpired the visit before and she somewhat empathized with me but you could tell she wasn't going to say anything to diss her own NP. Emme ended up getting a penicillin shot that hurt like hell and ANOTHER prescription. Thankfully, this is the kind that she will actually drink. It did take a couple of days of threatening to go back to the doc's office for a shot.

When I got home and told Adam - he was REALLY pissed and called the office and told them several things of how he/we felt about it. He stressed to them greatly that we never want to see anyone but Dr. Bimle from here on out.

Thankfully, she is feeling better! No more fever. No more puking. Just a little cough left over.

Olivia and I have had a bit of a cold of some sort. I was really scared that she or Sophie were going to get something but so far, so good. Ours has been controlled by OTC meds.

Adam is doing much better! It's been a week today. He does have a few concerns so he is going to the doc on Monday. If it'll keep me from having to look at "his boys" anymore then it's all good with me! Sheesh! I've checked out those puppies here more lately in the last week than I have the entire length of our relationship!! And we've been together a LONG TIME!!

I'm in the process of trying to wean Olivia and it is failing miserably. She is RELENTLESS with the nursing. Ugh. I've created a monster. I'm ready for it though. Adam says I'll miss it when it's over cause she's our last and he is probably right in some ways but I'm READY! I want to have my body to myself again! I don't want to have my tit in anyone's mouth unless I choose for it to be there, you know?

Got Emme and Sophie signed up for school next fall. Wow. It's hard to believe that they will both be in school. Sophie will be in FIRST GRADE! Let the homework begin! She already had homework the other day - in Kindergarten! It was adding and subtracting. Man, they didn't teach us shit in kindergarten!

Emme will be going 1/2 days but every day. She is excited about riding in the car with Sophie and Daddy. Let's just hope she remains that way. It'll be weird just being here with Olivia only. She'll be lonely....as will I.

That's all the update I can think of right now. Time to go make lunch and take another round of Sudafed. *sniff*
