The Past Week
Sophie had swimming lessons last week and vacation bible school. Why is it that everything seems to happen in the same week?! Anyway, she LOVED both of them! She took swimming lessons last year and on the final day she *finally* put it all together...the head down, arms stroking and legs kicking but it was the last day! SO - this year, she got it right off! By the end of the week, she was jumping off the side and swimming over to Ms. Connie. She even swam the length of the pool! We were all so proud but not as proud as she was of herself. It was great!
Of course, now Emme says that she wants to wear her "simming soup" and take "simming" lessons. Emme has a bad habit though of getting ALL prepared for a day of swimming. She will don her "simming soup" - either the Minnie Mouse or Scooby Doo - she will let us put sunscreen all over her. She'll get her life vest on, her sunglasses, her flip-flops and then ..........
NOTHING!
She won't even put in a TOE!!! Ok - I take that back. The other day at Ms. Connie's house, she DID put in a toe but that was it.
She is a funny, funny girl.
I have been working a lot lately. I think it has been good for Olivia and Adam. Not that she didn't want to be around him but if I was around, it was usually my company that she wanted to keep. Now that he has been keeping the girls while I'm at work ... she thinks her da-da is A-okay! That makes me happy. I do miss them though when I'm away. I'm soooo fortunate that I can stay at home with them but yet still keep my "toe" in the door at the clinic, so to speak. Olivia does miss her Mommy though and that makes her Mommy sad but feel good.
It's nice to be missed.
