Why?

WHY do people bring their sick kids around other people's kids (especially mine)?? I know I have asked this question many, many times but I am still looking for the answer.

Two examples from just the past 4 days....

1. Have a little get together at our house with my MOMS Club for the kids to make sundaes.... about 10 kids total.
Things went fine but after everyone left, Adam tells me that one of the moms announces that her child had a stomach virus yesterday. *I wasn't in the room to hear this announcement* but evidently it was said as if she were saying ".. I went by the bank today..ho..hum..".

Grrrrrrrr......

THEN, when someone called her on it she actually said that her kids have never been ones to pass any sicknesses on to other kids! Like it's a CHOICE or something!? Oh! Her kids are stingy with the germs...no worries!

whatever.

2. Sophie started swimming lessons today. With about 15 minutes to go, one of the little boys in her class (there are only 3 kids total ... Sophie and two boys) gets out of the pool and is just shivering. Like...shivering more than normal shivering and wraps himself in his towel and announces that he doesn't feel well. The teacher asks him if he's sick and he says "No. Well, I have had fever for the last couple of days." ...

nice.

So, then when his mom comes back to get him .. the teacher tells her this and she says "Oh, really!? Well, he had been sick a few days ago and I took him to the doctor and they said it was some virus. I thought it was gone by now"

what the?!?

WHY!?! WHY do these people bring their vomiting child and their feverish child around my kids!?? Ok - so the kid didn't puke right before walking out the door (well, maybe he did or didn't...I don't know) and the fever was gone since this morning but jeezle-pete!! What would be the harm in keeping them home say... oh, just maybe a DAY?!!?

If my kid pukes and/or gets a fever, I'm gonna be pissed.
